Hope you make it to South Africa. It’s a hard turn to the north but the country is worth the visit. Great stories

Very interesting blog on your latest location and planning. You have obviously put a lot of thought into your planned route. Based on the history of the area it is certainly daunting to face the Indian Ocean and on up to the Red Sea. You have been very diligent in your planning and I feel sure that all will be well for you. I assume that one of your options is to go in a flotilla with like minded cruisers like yourselves. Is there a gathering point for this type of sailing in a group??.
Given all of that your trip continues to be wonderful and I am sure will bring an amazing lot of lifetime memories for you.
So Robin and I wish you fair winds and calm seas and a very Bon Voyage from here on.
Very best wishes and Be Safe.
Aidan

Reading about your experience in Borneo reminds me of our own a few years back in Sarawak, Malaysia – we were in a conservation area to watch the orangutans in their natural habitat. There is another interesting primate specie endemic to Borneo, the proboscis monkeys – you must have seen those too !?
At one time the Malacca Strait, I believe, was infested with pirates too. Have they fixed that problem now? May the wind be always at your back.
